Yoga and meditation open a door: in the course of practice, body consciousness is refined and postures reveal new landscapes of consciousness. Unusual experiences may occur: energy processes within the body, astral travel, clairvoyance, visions, intuitions ... The forms are many but they call into question our conception of the body, of matter, of consciousness.

Directly energetic approaches such as acupuncture, Gi Kong, or modern methods of care such as that developed by Barbara Brennan, share with yoga a perception of the body consciousness: our body is composed of very thin casings, up to the physical body.

Yoga and energy care methods therefore constitute complementary approaches to work on energy-consciousness.

Yoga: the activities

Yoga teachings take three forms:
• Online
o weekly yoga classes in French and English.
o Thematic series to be acquired as needed
• Present
o Private lessons on request, in Italian, French or English, in Messina or online.
• Thematic internships in Sicily or other countries: see annual programme

WHAT YOGA?

I teach hatha yoga.
The session lasts 1h30 and begins with some movements and breathing exercises to make yourself available to practice. Then comes a set of dynamic series and preparatory postures. Ayurveda, the traditional medicine related to yoga, teaches that it is necessary to clean before feeding. The first part of the course aims to purify and heat the body. Concretely: to sweat.
Then comes the body of the session. The postures can be deepened. They are organized into a pedagogical series focused on a theme: softening an area of the body; passing a complex posture; experiencing an aspect of consciousness related to the philosophy of yoga…  This is the nutritive part of the session, which leads to increasingly fine perceptions, in a meditative state.
During the internships, the sessions constitute a coherent suite that allows to enter more and more into the experience.
At the end of the session, we can dive into pranayama and meditation.

The session takes into account the physical abilities of the practitioners present. Alternatives are proposed according to the possibilities. Beginners are systematically accompanied in the taking of posture.

Hatha yoga is a journey through the body-consciousness. Its ultimate goal is freedom and unity with pure light-consciousness. Performance is not part of this journey, even if we sometimes approach what can be perceived from the outside as acrobatics
